Air Jordan XIII - Retro 13 White/Black-True Red-Pearl Grey "He Got Game" - ANALYZED

Air Jordan XIII - Retro 13 White/Black-True Red-Pearl Grey

Greatness never stops and the G.O.A.T. is coming back again this coming Saturday March 16, 2013.  The Air Jordan XIII - Retro 13 White/Black-True Red-Pearl Grey drops again and will definitely be a highly sought after shoe.  Collectors, resellers, and hype beasts (we know about cha!) will be on the hunt to grab a pair to rock/stock/sell/mangle/hoop in/etc.

Why the hype?

Denzel came out of prison, had only a bit of money, but STILL got them J's tho!!!

First released back in 1997-1998 and best immortalized on the big screen by Denzel Washington a.k.a. Jake Shuttlesworth, with Ray Allen in Spike Lee's "He Got Game", this pair of Jordans has unwillingly adopted the nickname which has stuck like flies on rice.  The last time these kicks made an appearance was in 2010 when the shoe was paired up with the Shadow X in the countdown package.  With only one retro release since 1998, these are due for a come back.

So via simple math*: ("Nicknamed shoe" + "Was in pop culture" + "not many re-releases")^ G.O.A.T. = "instant hyped success"

Guaranteed the hype beasts will be after that.  Collectors after it because of nostalgia or they need to use it to rock/replace their old pair.  And, because of the first two aforementioned, the resellers will be first to get their hands on them to sell these joints.

But, all in all, this will be a fun (I guess?) release and definitely worth the hype.  I was told that the quality of the Jordans is on par with current releases (meaning it doesn't live up to the OGs, but still okay by today's standards).  Also, with the GS sizes, the white seems to be whiter than the adult sizes (not sure why that is, maybe it was just home boy's pair?)

You know that's probably what he says to himself when he sees the riots on TV...

Regardless, good luck to everyone that enters a raffle/twitter to win and buy this upcoming release.  I myself will also try to grab a pair for nostalgia sake because back then in high school, I didn't have money for them Js, but damn sure would've got a pair if I did.

Parting note: These kicks will most likely sell at the MSRP of $160.00 and according to most of the wonderful internet's vast resources, it will be available as a general release (sounds easy to get, but it sure isn't!)  Stay vigilant and be safe.  Also keep in mind like recent retro releases, the HGG (he got game) if sold out, might make a restock appearance shortly.
